Why do I keep getting bumped off the Playstation network?
I have a PS3. My router works and sometimes I can log in to my Playstation Network account and sometimes I can not. Other times I'm logged in and all of a sudden it says there has been an error and I've been logged off. When this happens I am unable to log back in. I'm wondering if this is a connectivity problem on my end or if the Playstation Network servers are struggling to keep up with online volume so soon after the release of Madden '08 and Tiger Woods '08.

- i have a ps3 aswell and mine does that sometimes too.....it is my internet connection....i dont know why it does it but i would call your internet company and tell them your problem....or sony sorry not much help
- It could be your connection, but if you have a reasonable upload and download speed on your broadband connection (you can test it online with your PC using links similiar to the one below) it could very well be the servers for the game you are playing online.
Unlike Microsoft, Sony do not host servers and lets all the support for multiplayer games come from the different software houses that created them. You will get a different level of service from different software houses.
- This has been a longtime problem of playing online with sony systems. Inferior service seems to be the drawback to it being free. If memory serves, ea provides and operates their own servers though.
- It could be one of these things
1. Router isn't good enough (the built in wireless adapter on the ps3 is pretty fast)
Solution ^ Get a faster router
2. Your internet may be to slow
Solution ^ upgrade your internet
3. Fault somewhere
Solution ^ contact sony or your ISP
