Playstation Network Video

if i format my ps3 hardrive will my playstation network accout and friends be deleted?

i want to install the os thing so i can watch more videos on the ps3 internet browser.

1. no i don't think it will i did it to mine while installing linux when i went to login i'm pretty sure it was saved but all of your saved data and movies music pic will be deleted

5. No no no. You account information is through SONY's servers. I went online with my uncles on the same account and it still works. It will just get rid of your pictures and settings and such. I recommend backing everything up with a usb.
6. Your online account and friends will not be deleted. This is on Sony's servers. Your game data will be deleted though, so you should save it to a flash drive first.
